Types of Glass
Clear Glass
Planibel Clear glasses are made using the “float” process. Both sides of the glass are perfectly flat and parallel. Transparency: high light transmission.

Application: single glass, insulated glass, laminated glass, tempered glass, sandblasted glass, special glazing, etc.

Insulated Glazing
The insulted glazing is manufactures with two glass v, separated by a “spacer” of 12mm. The space between the glasses is filled with air. The “spacer” is constructed by a hollow aluminum filled with a dessicating agent. An adhesive sealant is applied to the face of the spacer on each side and the panes pressed against the spacer, and acts as a humidity barrier.

The units are then sealed on the edge side using silicone sealant to ensure the adhesion between the two sheets and the integrity of the unit.

The set has characteristics for sound dampening as well as a low coefficient of temperature transmission, which reduces cool temperature loss and also prevents condensation at the outer surface when using air-conditioning.
Control the Sun
The sun is the most constant and powerful source of heat and light in our solar system. The sun radiates enormous amounts of energy, but only a tiny portion of it reaches the earth. 42% of this energy is transformed into light and 58% reaches the earth as heat in form of UV and IR rays.
Solar energy can be very pleasant and usable in many ways, but especially in buildings, it represents the major source for overheating and unpleasant glare. Solar control glass is used to reduce unwanted solar radiation and heat energy transmitted through the glass.

The selection of a solar control glass is of vital importance in determining the comfort of the occupants, running costs of air-conditioning systems and the environmental impact of energy consumption, which could be avoided by using passive solar control. When solar radiation in the form of light and heat strikes a glass surface it is partly reflected, partly transmitted and partly absorbed. Solar control glasses reduce up to nearly eliminates the solar radiation and heat energy, transmitted through the glass.
Coated Glass: Sunergy and Energy N Glass

A coated glass reflects partially the solar energy, resulting in thermal, solar and UV transmission efficiency, while letting visible light pass.

There are two primary methods in coating:
• Pyrolytic CVD (hard coating)
• Magnetron Sputtering (soft coating)

The Pyrolitic or on-line process consists of applying the coating during the glass production.
The coating is fused into the glass while it is still hot in the annealing lehr. The basic advantage of this process is the hardness of the coating. The coated glass can be treated as a normal sheet of glass. It also can be laminated or tempered (heat strengthened or toughened).

The Magnetron Sputtering consists in an off-line or vacuum coating process. Metal oxide particles are deposited on the cold glass surface by a chain reaction in a vacuum vessel. This method is called Magneton Sputtering (soft coating).

It is more susceptible to damage than in hard coated glass; therefore it can only be used as insulated glazing. Vacuum coated glass has better shading coefficient (ability to filter the total solar heat produced by the direct rays of the sun) values than Pyrolitic coated glass.
Sunergy Glass combines technology and aesthetics. It has a neutral appearance and properties of high light transmission, low-reflection, excellent solar-control and high thermal and acoustic insulation, all in one, providing interior comfort.

Through a process of chemical vapor deposition (CVD), a metal oxide-based pyrolytic coating (hard coating) is applied on the glass sheet.

This hard coated glass can be used as single, laminated, tempered or insulated glazing.

It is a high performance, low emissivity coated glass manufactured through the magnetron process. It has a double, invisible, ultra-thin layer of silver, which reflects the sun’s heat whilst letting in light. Its excellent solar factor of 42% means that 58% of the solar heat is kept out. It therefore helps to keep the inside temperature at a comfortable level, even at the highest outdoor temperatures.

How to use Econtrol

The use of EControl® is very simple. To change the setting of the electrochromic glass requires only a touch to activate a small electrical impulse. Up to 30 glass panes can be switched through the five levels at once, using a single controller.

The fifth level reduces the solar energy transmittance by 88% (g=0.12). This makes an external shading system unnecessary but does not detract from the view through the glass.
